Check carefully the Schedule of CHUK Ethics committee meetings table for your submission date, because The deadline for submission of protocols is 1 week before the scheduled Ethics committee meeting.
*for example: if meeting is on 07/jan/2019 deadline is on 01/jan/2019.
Note:Proposals not complying with the following format will not be considered for evaluation.

The University Teaching Hospital of Kigali also known as "Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Kigali" (CHUK) is one of two CHUs in Rwanda. it is located in Kigali city, District of Nyarugenge. it serves as a major national referral hospital, a clinical teaching site for training of healthcare professionals and a center for research on health-related matters accoding to its mission. CHUK has the responsibility to scientifically document and avail qualitative and quantitative data about care provided to the greatest majority of the rwandan population in its catchment area estimated at almost 50% of Rwandan population, in order to in form and/or inspire policy development. these small research grants are meant to support the efforts to create strong and sustainable healthcare and education systems at CHUK and in the community and are awarded to CHUK staff to engage in impact research mitigating the current hospital and its community challenges. Reseach projects answering challenges identified in the three major priorities described bellow are encouraged.

University teaching hospital of Kigali Ethics committee operates according to standard operating procedures (Sops) which are updated on an annual basis and in compliance with Good Clinical Practice(GCP) and Ethics guidelines and regulations.
