Rwanda Society for Endoscopy [RSE] supported by the USA (Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center: DHMC, Brigham and Woman Hospital: BWH) teaching institutions; specialists from Belgium through Digestive Disease association for Kivu lake (DDK) and main Rwanda endoscopic Health facilities leaded by CHUK will provide the highest qualified health services to patients with any problem of gastro-intestinal tract during the first Rwanda Endoscopy week which will be held from the 23rd to 27th October , 2017.
The scope of activities will include providing specialized consultations for patients with Gastroenterology diseases e.g. but not limited to complicated dyspepsia, portal hypertension, Endoscopies (diagnostic and therapeutic) of patients , lectures and hands on training to Residents, Faculty and Endoscopy Unit nurses. During that period we are willing to perform the first ERCP in Rwanda
The Endoscopy week activities will happen at 4 sites in Country (CHUK, CHUB, RWANDA MILTARY HOSPITAL and GISENYI DISTRICT HOSPITAL). USA, Belgian Gastroenterologists and Local staff will be allocated to each site for Procedures, specialized consultation and Teaching Doctors and Nurses.
