Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Overview

1. Introduction

The Planning and Business Development Unit is the unit that report directly to the office of Director General. This unit is made of three (3) services supervised by the director of planning and business development unit. These services are; Planning and Business Development service, Monitoring & Evaluation service and Statistics service. The services are subdivided into 5 positions: Director Of the unit (1), Planning and business development Officer (1), - Monitoring & Evaluation Officer (1) Statistics Officer (2) and Health Management and Information System Officer (1)

2. Main functions of the Unit

1. Coordinate Strategic Planning Process and ensure that the institution’s plans are results-oriented
2. Ensure performance indicators of the Institution programs and activities are result oriented
3. Ensure Terms of Reference of new projects are clear and well Prepared
4. Ensure that the Institution’s programs and plans are aligned to the National Development Agenda.
5. Liaise with the Finance Unit to ensure proper execution of the Budget according to the institution’s Plan
6. Coordinate the Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting activities
7. Analyze the reports on programs implementation and evaluate results of programs and projects;
8. Ensure Quality Reports for CHUK Programs and Plans are timely submitted to competent Authority
9. Coordinate all activities related to data gathering, interpretation, Sharing, management & Use
10. Provide regular feedback to the Management to improve quality Strategic, Policy and Programs Documents
11. Ensure establishment of a list/database to track Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation and Reporting (PMER) capacities of all staff
12. Coordinate Institution’s Performance contracting activities and ensure that there are result oriented
